MYMARINI MOUNTAIN HIDEAWAY RETREAT, AUGUST 2020 - AUSTRIA, BAD GASTEIN

What a wonderful long weekend this was!

11 wonderful women from Austria and Germany joined us on our 3rd MOUNTAIN HIDEAWAY in cooperation with Nicole from ABOUTTHATFLOW at the wonderful Designhotel Miramonte in Bad Gastein.

This little getaway was devoted to pausing life, taking a step or two back from last weeks challenges and soaking up sunshine, new energy and fresh mountain air!

We welcomed each of our guest with one of our exclusive MYMARINI surprise bags, which were waiting on arrival for them in their rooms followed by our opening circle, where we shared our intentions for joining and being together. This is always a very special, exciting and magical moment.

Every morning started with an energising yoga flow, tuning into our bodies, waking up and welcoming the day. This time all our yoga session took place at the nearby "Pavillon", which is an open, spacious and light flooded art room with mesmerising views into the lush and green nature.

Our first morning together we started the day with a silent walk through the village, while the whole world was still asleep. Mindful walking is a beautiful practice to connect you more deeply with the environment, the present moment and your senses. It immediately gets you out of your head and into your body. Just mindfully walking, listening and connecting to your body, breath and nature.

As every year, we organise one Stand Up Paddle Yoga session at a close by lake, which is always a very exciting and fun part of this retreat. Practicing yoga on water is a little challenging at first, but such a unique way to transform your regular yoga practice and challenge your balance. The best thing about practicing yoga on a board, comes as always at the end: the final relaxation, savasana, laying on water. Just floating and feeling the wind, sun and water touching your skin. All our ladies did such a great job & looked absolutely gorgeous in their MYMARINIs!

Lucky us, sun was shining everyday, so we were basically outdoors all the time. In the afternoons our guests were free to explore the magical village with all its waterfalls, go out for a hike, book a massage or sleep and chill on the terrace or hammocks and enjoy lots of iced coffees & Wiesnsaft!

The evenings were reserved for grounding and unwinding yin yoga sessions, breathing exercises and mediation. Allowing body and mind come to full rest and digest all the new experiences.

The wonderful team of Miramonte did such an amazing job taking care of us, serving yummy breakfast until midday, followed by freshly prepared lunch and our 4 course dinner menu. On Fridays the hotel organised one of their legendary BBQ evenings with live music! We love those kind of evenings: coming together, sitting outdoors, watching the sun set behind the mountains & being in good company. It was such a great evening filled with good talks, good food, lots of laughs & new friendships!

We were so happy to have been able to connect with so many inspiring ladies in real life & seeing women enjoying life together! It was a recharging long weekend full of movement, sunshine, delicious food, high vibes & connection.

Thank you for trusting and sharing your time with us, we would love to press the reset button and repeat this adventure all over again!

Big thank you to Nicole form ABOUTTHATFLOW for organising this retreat and creating this amazing programme for our guests!
